It’s Well-Being Wednesday and another delightful friend is sharing her favorite practice. Thank you, Karina, for showing us how to open up to our spirit guides.
Over the years I have tried many different spiritual practices and I have enjoyed discovering new techniques and meeting the different people and traditions teaching them. My all time favourite and the one practice I always come back to is channeling. Eleven years ago I attended a week-end workshop in Sweden, where I was living at the time, and this completely changed my life. The moment I heard of this practice I knew it was for me and about mid-way though the workshop I knew this was part of my Soul’s Purpose.
Opening up to channel your guides involves taking a big leap of faith and opening up new doors inside your soul. I believe that we all have guides and that they are always with us. If we wish to connect with them (most of the time : ) we need to raise our energy levels and open our hearts. When we do so beautiful, loving energy starts flowing into us.
If you wish to communicate with your spirit guides there are some very simple tools you can use. One of them is to sit down in a comfortable position, with pen and paper beside you, and breathe slowly. Sink into your body and breathe out any tensions or discomfort. When you feel ready, feel how your heart opens up and visualise a beautiful light-filled cord that goes from your heart to your spirit guide’s heart. Breathe in the love from your guide and breathe out all your love for him/her. Sit like this for as long as you wish and when you feel ready ask your guide if he/she has a gift for you. Open up even more and see/feel/sense the beautiful gift in his/her hands. Take as much time as you need and when you feel ready, thank your guide and watch your cord fade until you are standing in your own energy again.
If you don’t see your guide the first time you do this visualisation, don’t worry. You can do it again as many times as you wish and when the right time comes it will happen. And be open to any form of communication during and after this exercise. Maybe your guide will connect with you in your dreams or by showing you signs in nature.
I believe that our spirit guides are communicating with us all the time. All we need to do is to slow down and listen. With all our senses.
You are a beautiful, shining Soul with your own unique path. And at the same time we are All One and we are All held by Spirit. You are deeply loved and You are never alone.
If you feel a deep wish to connect with your spirit guide just take the time to do it. They Love us and they Love to communicate with us. Enjoy the journey!

Hi Loran and Karina – yes I do listen to my guides, when I write, when I coach, when I look for a house, when I look for a seat on the underground…and they also bring me to great websites like Goddess Circle and connect with sweet souls like you

Karina – my guides appear as all different shapes and graphs, whether I have my eyes open or close… at the moment, I am having fun to distinguish them one by one – I can recognise and name 3 of them but I feel there are so many more, which I need to be more patient and slowing down, as you suggested…
